Our story

Light, cast in iron

Elettra means light. Ferri means iron. The name was chosen for the tension between them, because that is what we believe a woman's wardrobe should hold: softness with a spine.

Elettra Ferri was founded on a simple frustration. Clothes had become disposable. Fabrics thinned, seams gave way, and the pieces that should have lasted a decade barely survived a season. We wanted to make the opposite - clothing designed with the discipline of Italian tailoring and the ease of a modern life, made to be worn again and again until it becomes part of you.

Every piece begins in Milan, where our collections are designed. We work with a small number of silhouettes and refine them obsessively: the drop of a sleeve, the weight of a hem, the way a coat moves when you walk. We choose fabrics for how they feel on the second year, not the first day. And we release in limited runs, because we would rather make fewer things properly than many things quickly.

Our palette is deliberate. Ivory, iron, sand, bronze, and one deep red - the colour of iron when it meets the air. It is a wardrobe that works together, so that everything you own from us belongs with everything else.

We do not follow seasons so much as we follow women: how they move, what they reach for, what they keep. If a piece from Elettra Ferri becomes the one you wear until the lining wears thin, we have done our job.

"I started Elettra Ferri because I couldn't find what I wanted to wear: something that felt like Italy without feeling like a costume, and that would still be beautiful in ten years." - Ilaria Benedetti, Founder
